It’s been a little over a week since we had to say goodbye to the ‘old man’, Tommy.

{seen here with one of his little sisters}

Born, or arrived in July of ’02 – I’m not sure if the stork or my wife brought him home – he took up residence at the hacienda.

A normal cat, or as normal as a cat gets, he made his way establishing ownership of his humans. Whether snuggling in the crook of my arm during many a football season, or splayed across a heat register in the depths of February, he nonetheless would demand food at every opportunity.

Which led to some very heated bilingual arguments.

In his middle years, he made some space for another arrival, Chloe. After the expected adjustments, they came to an understanding… The female is always right.

In his final time, he still carried himself with great poise and dignity. He will be greatly missed.

RIP Thomas Alyosius Kowalski, July 2002 – March 24, 2016
